In the recent years Äänekosken Energia has invested heavily in the expansion of our district heating network. We currently supply district heating to over 800 customers.
Our eco-friendly district heating is produced almost entirely with Finnish wood-based fuels. Äänekosken Energia offers one of the lowest district heating rates in Finland.
In Äänekoski, district heating is produced by another one of our associated companies, Äänevoima Ltd. In Suolahti, district heat is provided by Kumpuniemen Voima Ltd, also an associated company of Äänekosken Energia. The regions of Hirvaskangas and Sumiainen have their own woodchip-fired district heating plants.
